Niché dans une ruelle de Funchal, ce restaurant gastronomique est intimiste et romantique. Le soir de notre repas, une chanteuse était présente. Le service est impeccable et les serveurs parlent anglais voire français. Plats délicieux (je recommande le maquereau en entrée) et assez copieux pour un gastronomique. Les prix sont abordables pour cette qualité. Adresse à faire !! ~ Percevaut

Super! Durch Zufall habe ich dieses Restaurant entdeckt und wurde nicht enttäuscht. Das Essen war sehr lecker, Qualitativ und Optisch sehr ansprechend. Die Ideen und der hohe Standart ist zu schmecken. Keine Frage hat dieses Restaurant eine Michelin Bewertung verdient. Die Karte ist überschaubar, jeder findet hier sein Gericht. Ex magazzino del sale, da cui il locale prende il nome. Un ristorante molto carino e caratteristico nel centro storico di Funchal. Piatti eccellenti! Personale cordiale e disponibile. Rapporto qualità-prezzo leggermente più alto ma vale decisamente la pena andarci. Dico solo che noi ci siamo stati tre volte nel corso della vacanza. Abbiamo apprezzato davvero tutto. We went for a family meal here (8) on a Thursday night. The decor of the place is romantic and low light. It fits the vibe of the place nicely. Service was polite and efficient. We had a lovely sized round table which made conversation easier. For the food we were given a free arancini looking meat thing which tasted lovely. I ordered the lamb shank with polenta and it was delicious. Perfectly cooked. As a group we ordered three pans of truffle mash and that too was sensational. My cousin had the beef which he loved. For pudding we had pavlova and ice creams. Both again were a very high standard. Overall this place is charming with very good value for money. Would highly recommend. They also have a set menu which you should consider. I would 100% go back again ~ Tom

This venue was recommended to us, by a local, the restaurant is set on a quiet side street, so you are unlikely to just pass by. The food on our visit [28 August] was outstanding for the price, verging on Michelin quality. Service was excellent but not to intrusive. I chose the special 3 course Al a cart with premium wine pairings at 52 euros. My wife had a single main of sea bass, which she said was one of the best she had tried anywhere at any price. You could eat very reasonably here or splash out, either way it's definitely worth trying for food lovers, when in Funchal. There is also pleasant live music every evening. We will be going again before leaving, but I am under instruction to eat less on the next visit. ~ Eric M

Um Lugar muito peculiar de origem histórica, antigos Armazens de sal para fornecimento da marinha mercante e local onde pode ter uma experiência gastronómica com elevada qualidade. O menu é variado com destaque para as carnes e lulas grelhadas ao almoço. O serviço é amável e o ambiente excelente para comer só ou acompanhado ou ainda para grupos. ~ Ribeiro P

Top Restaurant enclavé au fond d'une petite rue piétonne. Une carte d'un jeune chef plein de bonnes idées et de talent, a un tarif tout a fait abordable. En France on dirait de ce restaurant qu'il est semi-gastronomique. Les plats sont des mets traditionnels revisités avec succès, ce qui donne de très belles assiettes pleines de goût, d'odeurs et de saveurs. Équipe aux petits soins. O ambiente e o serviço deste restaurante são excelentes, fama que já existe há muitos anos. O menu apresenta sempre opões muito interessantes, tendo escolhido peixe desta vez (mas as opções de carne parecem muito boas). Os risotos são intensos e muito saborosos, além de bem servidos. As sugestões de vinho combinaram perfeitamente com os vários momentos da refeição. O preço é adequado para o serviço. ~ Eduardo M

Wir waren zum 30. Geburtstag meiner Frau dort speisen und waren rundum zufrieden. Sowohl der angebotene Shuttleservice mit dem Oldtimer als auch das Essen sowie die Weinbegleitung hat alle unsere Erwartungen erfüllt oder gar übertroffen. Das äußerst engagierte Servicepersonal hat noch einmal separate 5 Sterne verdient. Wer einen Abend der extraklasse sucht, ist hier an der richtigen Adresse. Jederzeit gerne wieder. ~ Norman K

Самый лучший ресторан в центре Фуншала. Уютный интерьер, внимательное обслуживание, изысканные блюда, хорошая винная карта. Прекрасно провели время под звуки гитары и волшебное пение победителя "Голос Португалии 2019". Рекомендую заказать мясное и рыбное гастроменю. Adresse incroyable et pratiquement immanquable pour ceux qui veulent tester un repas très qualitatif à un prix abordable. Le service est digne des plus grands restaurants et l’accueil y est parfait. Les plats proposés sont raffinés, bien présentés et locaux. On reviendrait presque à Madère pour retourner à ce restaurant. Idéal en couple ~ Nicolas L

Excellent +++ ! Nous avons trouvé ce restaurant par hasard en cherchant un restaurant ouvert après 22h et quelle découverte ! Un restaurant gastronomique qui proposent des menus gastronomiques ou des plats « normaux » à des prix abordables ! Nous avons choisis de prendre des plats à la carte. Les plats étaient excellents avec des portions généreuses. Les desserts à tomber par terre ! Le service au top ! Je recommande très fortement !!! ~ Tracy A

Vi åt en fantastisk avsmakningsmeny med parat vin (1000 kr/person). Maten serverades med otroligt goda smaker. Vinet som serverades kom överlag från den lokala vingården Barbusano som vi hade besökt och provat vin på tidigare idag och det var väldigt trevligt. Servicen var bra även om presentationen av mat och vin uteblev ibland. Tyvärr fanns endast bord inomhus och det var rätt varmt. ~ Ronny E

Muy buen servicio, comida excelente y sorprendente y original mezclado con tradicional, raciones aceptables sobretodo por el tipo de local y el nivel de elaboración, presentación y puesta en escena por los camareros. Das war mit Abstand das beste Restaurant in welchem wir jemals waren. Das Ambiente ist traumhaft, das Geschirr sehr luxuriös, das Essen einfach perfekt und der Service ist die absolute Krönung. So zuvorkommendes und freundliches Personal habe ich noch nirgends erlebt. Das Essen war sowohl geschmacklich perfekt, als auch von der Anrichtung her. Der Preis war sehr fair und absolut gerechtfertigt! ~ Celine P

Mutta ennenkaikkea erinomainen ruoka, kolmen ruokalajin menu premium viinisuosituksineen oli hinta/laatusuhteeltaan kohdillaan, annokset sopivan kokoisia ja tehty myös silmänruokaa varten. Le restaurant Armazém do Sal à Funchal est situé dans une ruelle typique et offre un cadre rustique et élégant. il est reconnu pour sa cuisine de haute qualité, avec des plats de poisson, fruits de mer, viande et pâtes, ainsi que des desserts tentants. Les serveurs sont d'une gentillesse et très attentionné. Je mettrais juste un bémol sur les quantités. ~ Daryus B

Plusieurs plats du jour bons et trés copieux pour 8,90€. Lieux calme, serveurs agreables qui vous servent même l'eau, extrement efficaces comme on aimerait en voir à Paris. Et ils parlent Francais (Restaurateurs, venez debaucher de la main oeuvre à Madére). Pour plagier une emission je mets un "Trés bon !" Photo risotto aux poulpes ~ S M

Excelente menú de mediodía Ofrecen un menú con una gran relación calidad precio y con bastante variedad. El personal es realmente amable y atento y son rápidos al servir. Las raciones son generosas y el restaurante está muy bien situado en el centro de Funchal. El local es bonito y la terraza agradable. Fueron realmente cuidadosos con las intolerancias alimentarias que les manifestamos, readaptando los platos a las mismas. ~ Merce F

Ruoka oli ensiluokkaista eli hyvää tyylillä. Maut olivat kohdallaan. Annokset gourme tyylisiä ja kumminkin riittäviä. Tarjoilu mielenkiintoinen. Jähmeys ja jonkinlainen tunnottumuus aluksi häiritsivät, mutta illan edetessä tarjoilun tehokkuus, palvelualttius ja huomaavaisuus tekivät vaikutuksen. Seurueemme kuten myös minä oltiin erittäin tyytyväisiä. Pisteinä antaisin 4,6 joka on erittäin hyvä. ~ Michael O

We were disappointed to find that at lunchtime they were only serving a small lunchtime menu. However when we told the waiter we were celebrating our anniversary and hoped for something extra special he spoke to the chef who allowed us to choose from the a là carte. Extra special are the words. The food looked amazing and tasted wonderful. The staff were all lovely, friendly and helpful. Our desserts were served on a large tray with happy birthday written across the centre (anniversary must have got lost in translation!) The price was much less than you would pay in the UK for top class food,service and presentation. 10 out of 10 all round. ~ Helen E

Absolutely superb evening. Perhaps the best meal out of a whole trip of excellent food. Squid in particular was absolutely exemplary. All 3 courses were wonderful. Prices are very fair given the quality of cooking, and the set menu offering (even though we didn't take it up) means you can have a full evening of food for about 40 euros. Staff are polished and friendly. Madeira and wine selection was very good. Lovely dining room and terrace. Nice ambience - pleasantly buzzy without being loud. Only slight misstep was the length of wait for the bill, but forgiveable given the quality of evening we had. Thoroughly recommended, and we'll certainly return when we're back on the island. ~ Gareth R

Nous sommes arrivés en fin de service du midi (14h55) et avons tout de même ete magnifiquement bien servis! Le plat (risotto basilic sabre noir banane passion) était une tuerie et le vin blanc conseillé par la maison issu des vignobles de Sao Vincente également. Très beau cadre, au calme. a tester absolument! ~ Camille D
